Re: Appel à connaissances: Californie &Co...
alla!
CFE-CDG-LAX
Los Angeles (1,5j)
Location de voiture suppositoire à camions
Mojave, 1h42: Air and Space Museum (1/2j)
Yosemite National Parc, 3h50, 1 jour
Death Valley, Ghost Towns, 6h40 (2j)
Las Vegas, 3h18, 1j
Grand Canyon, 4h54, Antelope Canyon, 2h57, Monument Valley, 2h22 (2j)

Yeah
U gonna create ur own topic about LA SFO
LV GC SLC that's gonna be intrestin' 4 SSC members
What a pity u don't fly thru SFO by Air France's A380...that flight starts June 6 & ends Sept 4...
As to temps, on the West Coast it may still be hot in September, although it might be rainin'. In the desert, as I've been told by friends who've been to Vegas, it's crazy hot by daytime and you'll appreciate airconed places, but it's fuck'n freezin' at night...the best u can do is to look online weather forecasts bfore u take off & bring both warm & light clothes
Have u already been to the US?

Re: Appel à connaissances: Californie &Co...
Ah?
Might do that in the opposite way: from SLC to LAX via SFO (I'll not try the A380, but I'll finish the trip on the beach ).
This will be my third trip in the Americas (New York City, NY in January 2010 and Montreal, QC, CA in February 2011). But the first one in summer time. A big deal for a polar bear like me [:calva76:5] ...
Pictures to come
I think the itinerary is quite frozen now, I just have to plan the activities at every stopover

Re: Appel à connaissances: Californie &Co...
Yeah that's good to practice English a little bit
Well it's up to u to choose what's the best alternative 4 u, but u may have better weather on the beach in Sept rather than Oct
I don't know whether that A380 flight to Frisco is gonna be kept after Sept 4 or not. On AF's website it looks as if it's seasonal flight
Did u fly onboard A380 to NYC last year?
Which places have u visited there and in Montreal?
I think I'd like a trip to Quebec in the near
future maybe during "Indian Summer" and probably flying thru AF A380 that's a great aircraft
Well there's plenty places to visit in the locations u've selected I think Grand Canyon and Monument Valley r worth to be seen there r Indian reserves in the neighborhood
In SLC, there r high speed car races as I've heard and there r Mormons [:ben-der:1]
There's a lot to find on the internet as to what's worth to be seen & what to do
And u've plenty of time before departure
I'll try to ask my friends if they can give me some informations that may be useful to u
Have a nice day & nice meal this evening with SSC members

Re: Appel à connaissances: Californie &Co...
the A380 is a really nice aircraft, but the seats in the business class are not very good (very very very noisy)
And still not internet on flight in french company while in US companies, you can have the wifi in the air
for the indian reserve, hope it's not like in florida, nothing but a huge casino in the middle of nowhere

Re: Appel à connaissances: Californie &Co...
Might not be a big difference anyway, and I tried the Baltic Sea in June 2008 and the Mediterranean Sea in March 2011. Pacific Ocean in October 2011 should not be difficult [:citronvert:9]Yeah that's good to practice English a little bit

Nope, no A380 yetI don't know whether that A380 flight to Frisco is gonna be kept after Sept 4 or not. On AF's website it looks as if it's seasonal flight

Which places have u visited there and in Montreal?
Montreal: approximately the whole town (100km by feet in ten days dead every evening...), and a bit of Quebec, but with a snowstorm, and a lot of fog :/ so I didn't see that much of the town
nice place, but the town in itself can be visited in 2-3 days I guess. Couldn't go to the countryside, but there must definitely be some great places thereI think I'd like a trip to Quebec in the near
future maybe during "Indian Summer" and probably flying thru AF A380 that's a great aircraft
Yep, not really started now (in Bordeaux with a loooooooow speed internet access [:ben-der:3] )...Well there's plenty places to visit in the locations u've selected I think Grand Canyon and Monument Valley r worth to be seen there r Indian reserves in the neighborhood

Re: Appel à connaissances: Californie &Co...
if you fly a lot with AF, you can collect enough point for it
anyway I went twice to new york and the first time in a Boeing 747 700, in "class eco" and that was great two (you can get drunk in the two cases but not with the same product )

Re: Appel à connaissances: Californie &Co...
Beau parcours !
Sinon, là, j'éviterais L.A.

OK well I'll consider a Singapore Airline's executive suite then
As to internet onboard AF, I've heard that it should be settled in the near future...but I don't know more...
But I don't fly US airlines as they treat passengers as kettle and serve shit onboard the only good US airline I know is Hawaiian Airlines [:amiralackbar:3]
In Nevada, Native Americans are involved in tourism activities in the desert they manage a transparent and amazing bridge atop a canyon

Difficult, no 4 sure there may be still hot weather maybe even a canicula...but it may also be rainin'... If there's canicula in Calif and if you r camping, u need to be extremely careful abt wildfires there...Might not be a big difference anyway, and I tried the Baltic Sea in June 2008 and the Mediterranean Sea in March 2011. u're courageous to walk in Canadian winter [:amiralackbar:3]Nope, no A380 yet

As to the countryside, yeah I've got friends who've been there & told me that there r so many beautiful places along the St-Laurent I wish to see al that with my own eyes in the near future but definitely not in winter

yes I flight back from new york city on AF's A380, each time you want to change position, the seat just make sooooooo much noise, the electrical engines are very noisy, imagine when you have a kid that is playing with the seat

What's worth to be seen in Montreal?nice place, but the town in itself can be visited in 2-3 days I guess.
